  1. Thailand’s sacrifice of red fanta to the gods
Traditional Thai culture is heavily influenced by the Indian subcontinent. For thousands of years, daemonic worship has relied heavily on human, animal, and blood sacrifices to placate the spirits and keep them from interfering with the lives of regular humans. As communities developed, such sacrifices were finally prohibited. And in every sector, a new choice emerged. It was originally known as crimson Fanta in Thailand, and it looks a lot like blood! And the Thai people of today started using crimson Fanta to worship the gods!

Nowadays, Red Fanta is consumed in large quantities in Thailand. And the gods receive the majority of it. Interestingly, a Thai person who consumes red Fanta is made fun of in his community for having “daemonic symptoms”!

  1. Meghalaya, India’s Khasi community

The Khasis have a different lifestyle from their counterparts on the Indian mainland as a result of all these characteristics.
  2. In Scotland, make the bride dark.
While having a little fun prior to the wedding is acceptable, the bride doesn’t appear to enjoy this Scottish custom. It’s normal practice to hurl eggs, spoilt milk and pretty much anything else disgusting at her. The “blackened bride” is then paraded around the town. The custom represents the difficult life the woman can lead after the wedding. After going through it, any marriage problems would appear insignificant, therefore the custom prepares her for the next chapter.
  3. Bullet Ant glove, Satire-Mawe tribe
When the boys of this Amazonian tribe hit puberty, they have to go through a horrible and horrifying tradition to prove their manhood. The young men catch deadly bullet ants, which a medicine man then drugs and sews into woven mitts. The sting of a bullet ant is said to resemble the impact of a bullet on flesh. To divert their attention from the pain, the young guys are then required to dance for ten minutes while wearing the gloves on their hands. Satire-Mawe men are required to execute this rite at least 20 times throughout their lifetime.
  4. After marriage, a bathroom ban
The lavatory restriction, which is followed by the Tidong tribe in northern Borneo, is another absurd tradition. For three days after the wedding, the couple is prohibited from using the loo. Yes, this excludes bathing, urinating, and defecating. According to the tribe, it results in happy marriages. If they break the rules of the observance, they will have bad luck in their marriage, including death and stillbirth. According to the tribe, it results in happy marriages. If you’re wondering how it’s possible, the couple’s food and drink intake are regulated by the family. Before giving them a bath and possibly taking care of their toilet needs, the couple’s family members watch after them for three days.

Gurning has been a rural English tradition since 1267, as the humorous term below illustrates. In England, there was even a World Gurning Championship when contestants would dress in their most hideous attire. You couldn’t be more wrong if you think this is a stupid tradition. Four-time world gurning champion Peter Jackman had his teeth extracted to enhance his facial expressions. What dedication!
